EV EXPO East 2019, the 1st Expo at Lucknow dedicated to eco-friendly electric Vehicle technology is showcasing a range of e-vehicles for personal and commercial use.
Lucknow, June 6, 2019- Eastern India's biggest eco-friendly Electric Vehicle Technology Expo '9th V EXPO East 2019' kick-started today at Sahara Shaher Auditorium, Sahara Shaher, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.
The 3 day Expo was inaugurated by Shri Swatantra Dev Singh, Hon’ble State Minister of Transport, Protocol and Energy.
9th EV Expo East 2019 is the 1st edition in Lucknow and 9th overall eco-friendly Electric Vehicle Expo being organised by Altius Auto Solutions in India. Earlier editions have been organised at New Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru. The 3 day event is showcasing the latest and technologically advanced, pollution free 2 & 3 wheeled e-vehicles like E-Rickshaws, E-Carts, E-bikes, E-scooters, E-bicycles as well as E-loaders by more than 35 national and international companies. Latest Lithium batteries and Charging stations are also being displayed at the expo. This Expo offers comprehensive market information, great business opportunities and a platform for networking to the professionals and entrepreneurs of the EV industry in Southern India.
Inaugurating the Expo, Shri Swantatra Dev Singh Said said " Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) we can see that young entrepreneurs and many companies have come up who are making e-rickshaws and parts in India. Earlier these were being imported from abroad. Growth of electric mobility will provide lots of jobs to young people along with reduction in consumption of Diesel and Petrol which will result in safeguarding our environment. Our government shall provide all support necessary to this sector "
The opening day of the Expo witnessed a good footfall of both business visitors as well as general visitors from Lucknow and surrounding areas, curious to see the latest e-vehicles being presented by companies from India and abroad.
Some of the attractions presented at the 9th EV EXPO East 2019 were-
• Showcasing of a range of attractive e-scooters, stylish e -bikes, e-autos, e-rickshaws and loaders. They also presented battery swapping solutions at the Expo
• Jindal stainless unveiled a concept of fully stainless steel e-reckshaws
• Altius Technology brushless DC motor that can convert existing diesel and petrol vehicles into electric vehicles at a fraction of the cost.
• Soni e-vehicles and Arzoo presented electric food-carts and icecream carts
Mr.Rajiv Arora, Organizer, 9th EV EXPO East 2019 said "Looking at the air-pollution faced by cities like Lucknow and many other big and small cities across India, there is an urgent need to create an atmosphere for greater adoption of eco-friendly, non polluting means of personal and public transport based on Electric Vehicle technology.
E- vehicle Industry has a bright future in India, with the central Government implementing the second phase of the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME-II). This also encourages local manufacturing and adotability of high-quality product. Our EV Expo is in line with the Govt. policy and promotes awareness, accessibility and avilability of latest technology and networking for all stakeholders of electric mobility eco-system." Mr Arora added.
9th EVEXPO EAST 2019 is supported by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY), Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), International Centre for Automotive Technology(ICAT) & Confederation of Indian Startups (CIS)
Mr Anuj Sharma, Chairman E-rickshaw Committee, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Govt. of India said " E-vehicle industry is providing a level playing field to entrepreneurs and we see a lot of young people coming up in this industry, which is a very good sign."

EV EXPO East 2019 shall be open for visitors from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm from 6-8th June 2019 at Sahara Shaher Auditorium, Sahara Shaher, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.
