Himesh Reshammiya to bring back the musical magic of Kumar, Alka & Udit, revealed on Superstar Singer

The upcoming weekend on Sony Entertainment Televisions’ kids singing reality show Superstar Singer which is going to be filled with entertainment as the viewers will see supremely skilled singers Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan grace the show. The Epic 90’s legendary trio- Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan with the judges Alka Yagnik, Javed Ali and Himesh Reshammiya will set the mood as they will be seen reminiscing their good old days and sing some of their most loved and famous songs which are fresh even today. This is the first time that the epic 90s trio will be seen together only on Superstar Singer. During the shoot, fellow singer, multi-talented music composer and judge of the show Himesh revealed that Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan are his lucky mascots. After a fabulous performance of 12-year-old contestant from Pune, Mauli (Chaitanya), Himesh revealed that he is going to bring all three singers back together with an amazing song for his next film project.

Himesh Reshammiya who has been a part of the music industry since decades, surprisingly started his career with the help of Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik where he composed his first song with them, ‘Odh li chunariya’ which became an instant hit. Himesh also happened to compose many blockbuster songs with Udit Narayan for which he gave him due credits for his success on the show’s platform. When Mauli sang a mashup of some peppy 90s songs namely Tere naam and Jaaneman- jaane jigar, Himesh really felt that the essence of music is lost now-a-days. Himesh said, ”Such songs are not being made only because people are not willing to contribute. This generation moves on to watching songs on social media platforms and that makes it difficult for a musician to make such songs. A petty contribution to such talents will bring alive the genre of 90s that we have lost over the years and that is why I promise on this platform that I will bring a blockbuster song with the trio (Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan) in my next film project.”

Furthermore, Udit Narayan jokingly revealed how he fell for Alka Yagnik and couldn’t take his story forward as Kumar Sanu entered in their lives. Kumar Da being the jolly one made Udit reluctant as he saw his story coming to an end.
