Mumbai, May 09, 2019: Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame, the second film in history to be shot entirely with IMAX® cameras, grossed an additional US$528,000 during its second weekend on 18 IMAX screens in India. The IMAX total box office in India for the film now stands at US$1.9 million, marking the second-highest grossing IMAX film ever in the market and quickly approaching the current record-holder Avengers: Infinity War (US$2.1 million).

Globally, through its second weekend the IMAX worldwide gross for the film now stands at $170 million, surpassing Avengers: Infinity War to become IMAX’s third highest-grossing release of all time after only 12 days of release.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo designed Avengers: Endgame for IMAX by capturing the entire film with IMAX cameras, marking the second Hollywood film in history to achieve this milestone, the first being Avengers: Infinity War.
